Selection Process

    • A total of 8 teams will take part in this tournament, all slots will be open for registration. Teams will have to check and during the day of the tournament and it will be based on a first come first serve basis
    • You must have an active CS:GO account in good standing and add it to your profile.
    • Team captains are required to update the admin beforehand and provide full details on players and Stand-ins. This includes full name, in game nickname, and steam account.
    • Each team must have 5 players and 1 stand-in player but cannot be an existing player in the tournament. (even if that player was eliminated in an earlier stage)

Server settings

Map pool

The map pool will always be the Active Duty map pool and therefore might be updated before each tournament:
Game rules

Choice of side

A knife round will be played to determine the side. This is forced by the server. The winner of this knife round will choose the side by typing .stay or . switch in the chat.

Player drop

If a player drops the server will be paused at the end of the current round (see rule Game pausing).
The waiting time for a dropped player is 15 minutes. If the player or a substitute rejoins the server and both teams are ready, the game can be resumed. In case the dropped player does not reconnect within 15 minutes and there should be no substitute available, the team must continue playing with one less player.


      • To start the match all contestants have to type .ready in the chat.
      • Participants can choose to forfeit a match if they wish. Forfeiting will result in loss of the match and possible penalty points.

Illegal scripts

In general, all scripts are illegal except for buy, toggle and demo scripts. Here are some examples for illegal scripts:

        • Stop shoot scripts (Use or AWP scripts)
        • Center view scripts
        • Turn scripts (180° or similar)
        • No recoil scripts
        • Burst fire scripts
        • Rate changers (Lag scripts)
        • FPS scripts
        • Anti-flash scripts or binding (snd_* bindings)
        • Bunny hop scripts
        • Stop sound scripts

Violations of this rule will lead to a warning the first time. If in team matches more than 1 player played with wrong client settings and they have been warned before already, the match will be deleted.

In-Game overlays

All In-Game overlays – provided by the game itself – except the following are forbidden:

          • cl_showpos 1
          • cl_showfps 1
          • net_graph 0/1 (nevertheless you are not allowed to abuse the net_graph to help you aiming)

Custom files

The HUD can be changed as long as no information is deleted or falsified which is available in the standard HUD. If you use a custom HUD, it has to be readable. If an admin is hindered in his work because of unreadable HUDs, penalty points could be assigned. Protests or support tickets because of unreadable HUDs will be rejected immediately. Custom files are only allowed for your HUD and GUI .Other custom files are forbidden, including custom models, changed textures or sounds (volume, soundscapes).

Illegal software and hardware tools

Changing the game graphics or textures with the help of video card drivers or similar tools is illegal. Furthermore any kind of overlay that displays the system performance while playing (e.g. Nvidia SLI Display, Rivatuner Overlays) is illegal. Tools that only display the FPS are legal.You will be punished regardless of whether the changes have been made using external hardware or software and regardless of actively using them or not.

Color depth

The usage of a color depth of 16 bit is not allowed. Trying to prove the use of 16 bit with screenshots is not allowed and protests about this will be rejected.

Starting Match

          • All teams are expected to be there and confirm their attendance 30 minutes before the start of the match.

Schedule Change

          • Game dates are subject to change if the situation and time table allows it.
          • Any team with a problem regarding the date change will need to provide a valid and reasonable excuse to demand a date change.

Breach of Rules

          • Foul language, offensive and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated from any player and will result in the following:
          • First Warning that the team captain has to acknowledge
          • Second Warning will lead to forfeiting the game
          • Third Warning will lead to disqualification from the tournament

Game Admin

All participants must adhere to the decisions and rules of the tournament organizers, admins, and referees. All decisions are final, except in cases where the option to appeal is clearly stated. Conversations, either verbal or written, between organizers, admins, or referees, and participants are confidential. Publicly posting or sharing these conversations with outside parties is strictly forbidden, unless permission is obtained.

  1. Only players above the age of 13 are allowed to participate.
  2.  All games are played on CS-GO PC , the PC version only.
  3. Only the team leader has to register for tournaments. Tournament Organisers will contact only the team leader for tournaments. It is the responsibility of the team leader to coordinate with the rest of his squad members and PlayMonk / Tournament organisers.
  4. A custom room will be created on tournament day. Only the team leader and his registered teammates will have to join that room. ID and Password of the room will be shared with team leader via WhatsApp/Email 15 minutes before the match starts. Failure to join the custom room on time will be treated as a ‘no show’.
  5. Team Leaders who are registering must enter only valid E-mail IDs and valid WhatsApp & PayTM enabled contact numbers. Make sure PayTM KYC is done. Any changes in PayTM numbers and email addresses will not be entertained after registration.
  6. Clans or Team cannot have multiple registered squads in a tournament. In the case of multiple registrations, PlayMonk reserves the right to pick one squad to represent the Clan or Team.
  7. All six teammates must be registered members of Playmonk. Your team will be instantly disqualified if an unregistered player plays in a tournament or custom room. Offending unregistered players will not be allowed to participate in future PlayMonk tournaments or matches.
  8. Members of the same squad should have identical team prefix or suffix in their name and same profile picture, preferably with a Team logo. Not doing this is grounds for disqualification.
  9. Please download all maps and be ready, if you don’t have the map, the match will be started without you. No refunds will be issued if you are kicked from the server due to glitches or otherwise.
  10. Players are required to claim prizes for tournaments via team captains, and players who are claiming prizes from custom rooms must do so individually (with screenshots of rank and endgame screen).
  11. Only one squad or duos per Clan or Team will be allowed to participate.
  12. Emulators / iPad players will not be allowed in PlayMonk matches unless otherwise specified.
  13. If you are found sharing ROOM IDs and PASSWORDs, you will be instantly disqualified and banned from future PlayMonk matches/tournaments.
  14. Griefing & teaming will result in instant disqualification and team ban. If we find Players teaming with each other, we will not give them the winning prizes. They will also be disqualified from participating in the subsequent matches.
  15. Hackers will be disqualified instantly. As soon as we suspect a player to be hacking, the team will be disqualified. The player or team will have to show video proof that they aren’t cheating. If suspected players are unable to provide proof, PlayMonk admins reserve the right to disqualify the player and the team. We recommend players to record their perspectives for tournaments and custom rooms just in case a discrepency arises.
  16.  Stay in your given slots, joining any other slot will get you kicked & the team will be disqualified. If you have anyone else in your slot, reach out to us in discord on the help channel immediately before the match starts. Jumping from slots repeatedly will result in a ban.
  17. Screenshots mandatory for payment & rank achieved at the end of each game. Please follow the Claiming Prizes section for details.
  18. Threatening or abusing game admins and other players can result in legal actions & bans from upcoming tournaments.
  19. Players have to follow the guidelines given by admins or else risk getting banned. Players and teams who have been banned can appeal their bans but the rights to unban is reserved by PlayMonk and it’s admin team.
  20. Players have to make sure to keep their game updated to the latest version. Playing from different versions and using exploits could get your disqualified and potentially banned from future matches/tournaments.
  21. In case of any technical issues from the organizer side, matches can be rescheduled. Players must agree to the new rescheduled time.
  22. In case of power failure, technical issues, conflict with results of match etc decision of PLAYMONK ADMIN TEAM regarding results of match or rematch will be final.
  23. The decision of PLAYMONK ADMIN TEAM regarding the selection of qualified teams will be final, no discussions or explanations will be provided for anyone.
  24. If your name is not on a match list, chances are that you & your team are disqualified by the PLAYMONK ADMIN TEAM, please contact our help section for more information. Playmonk Admin Teams decision is final.
  25. Playmonk Team reserves all rights to change the match timings and rules if required.
  26. We have a lot of spectators watching to ensure cheating doesn’t take place in the tournaments.
  27. UNREGISTERED PLAYERS will not be entertained in tournaments, and could result in a team ban or player ban. Do not bring random friends into tournaments. UNREGISTERED PLAYERS will not be entertained in custom rooms.
